Hi, I’m Suzanne

A little about me:

I’m 56, happily married to my high school sweetheart, and enjoying life on Cape Cod.
I love cooking, reading, traveling, and unwinding on my deck with my husband and our black lab. My midlife journey has seen incredible transformations: leaving my first marriage, finding my soulmate again, shedding both physical and emotional weight, learning to age gracefully and starting to love and accept the real me, with all my perfect imperfections (this one has changed my life).

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t obsessing about my weight, trying every fad diet, quick fix pills, and calorie and carb counting. Yes, I did lose weight, but I could never keep it off and always felt like a failure. I didn’t like who I was becoming, using food to comfort myself, and I had lots negative self-talk. Honestly, I didn’t really like myself much at all. Something had to give. I was all done being the fat girl that hated herself and ate over it.

In spring 2021, I stumbled upon Life Coaching, and it truly changed my life. Within a week, I felt different—better, motivated, and open to those small changes my coach talked about. I started listening to my body, upped my water intake, and gave sleep some priority. Weight started coming off, and I felt really good in my own skin for the first time ever. Simple stuff, really. 

Now, I am a Certified Life and Weight Loss Coach and I am a woman who enjoys her favorite foods without guilt, shares a bottle of wine with her Italian husband, and, has learned to love the person she’s becoming. Am I at my goal weight? Nope – Not yet, but what I have learned is that the journey is so much more important than the destination. The journey……that’s where all the good stuff is.
